Drain on the system

As I handwash the pots and pans from dinner, the crud falls out and is caught by a mesh guard. This prevents food from clogging the main pipes yet still allows draining in the sink to occur - a simple yet effective preventive mechanism.

But happens when the guard fills up and the sink can no longer drain?

Easy! I take the guard out and dump the accumulated stuff in the trash.

Our work days tend to be the same. We fill up on the tasks we don't really need to do and clog the system (ourselves, our teams, our co-workers) from doing important work.

Now is a good time to examine the work crud that built up and go dump it out. It may let the system work again.
